Teeth Whitening
If you want to brighten the color of your smile then our teeth whitening treatment is a great option to consider. This procedure will remove the discolorations and stains on your teeth in an in-depth format than a regular dental exam. Here at Clayton Dental we use the tray whitening method to treat our client’s.
In this technique, a whitening solution is poured into several trays that resemble a mouthguard. A tray that has the whitening contents within it will be placed into a patient’s mouth for several hours or overnight. There are 3 different whitening solution strengths that may be used, however, be mindful that the higher the strength a greater likelihood of tooth sensitivity.
Porcelain Veneers
A veneer is a thin porcelain material that is bonded to the front of the teeth used to drastically improve a patient’s smile. This option is great for people who have tooth abnormalities and want a minimally invasive procedure to correct and improve it.
Dr. June K Wolff uses 2 different techniques for veneer treatment. The first is a direct technique which usually involves placing the composite resin on the outside of the tooth using a bonding technique to get impressions of the teeth. This is a labor-intensive appointment which requires the structure of some of the teeth to be removed.
The second method is called the indirect technique. An indirect is fabricated in a factory and is typically much durable that the direct technique method. This process typically involves a patient to come into the office for 2 appointments and it’s minimally invasive. In 2 to 3weeks the veneers will be returned from the laboratory and it will be bonded to the teeth.
Advantages To Veneers
- Easy Maintenance: With veneers, you don’t need a specific routine to keep your teeth clean as with dentures. You can stick to you daily teeth cleaning techniques for oral health.
- Natural Appearance: This alternative resembles your teeth. In other words, no one will be able to identify that veneers aren’t your teeth.
